WELCOME TO LEGACY DANCE ACADEMY

1. Our "Little Footsteps" program is for pre-school age children 2-4 years. 

This combo class program introduces children to dance, free movement and rhythm, through a blend of ballet, jazz, tap and creative expression. We introduce them to engaging music and different styles of dance, including the use of props to learn new physical and cognitive skills with fun, passionate, and professional teachers.

2. "TumbleTown" is an introductory Acrobatics program for preschoolers aged 2-5 years which enables your little ones to join Flippy the Fox, as they travel around the world and stop off at amazing places like Europe, Africa, China & more. Toddlers will love working on gross motor skills and school readiness alongside safe tumbling skills in a fun, nurturing, and educational environment. TumbleTown helps kids step out of their comfort zone and go on an adventure like no other.

We offer recreational style classes for children that are new to dance, interested in fitness and movement, or just here to have some fun and make some friends!

These classes are aimed at developing self-confidence, rhythm, coordination, or introducing your child to the world of dance for a little taste of what's to come.

Interested in taking your dance journey to the next level? We offer a variety of Advanced level classes taught by Industry leading choreographers and elite level teachers that can help you up-skill to the highest level or potentially turn your passion into a profession.

These classes are aimed at refining technique, teaching state of the art, up-to-date choreography, emphasising artistry and performance, and learning sophisticated skills, including jumps, kicks, turns, and tricks.

These classes are for children who are experienced in dance training and want immerse themselves in an environment with inspiring leaders and like-minded peers who push each other to be the absolute best they can be, and nurture their individual talents.

Wanting to compete as a Legacy soloist or up-skill and refine your dancing with a dedicated, private teacher in a lesson of your own?

We offer private 1:1 classes for students that are after personalised, individual training completely tailored to bring out their individual talents and help them to stand out in the dance industry. 

These classes have proven to help your child "level up" in their skills, confidence, knowledge and understanding of dance.

Our private lesson teachers are highly experienced and senior level, so that your child is receiving state of the art training that develops their uniqueness, passion and dedication to dance. 

Our acrobatic & aerial classes involve learning various tricks and skills that make use of gymnastic, contortion, and tumbling elements. This trains our students in agility, balance, flexibility, and power. Acrobatics and Aerial is also used in dance where various movements are incorporated into all forms of dance, adding strength, power and impressive dynamics to the choreography, whether it be for group or solo routines.

LDA offers examination classes in Ballet and Tap under the guise of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), British Ballet Organisation (BBO) and Glenn Wood Tap syllabuses. All classes are structured in an enjoyable, progressive, and technical format.  

We offer a range of examinations and assessments that are available for students of all ages and abilities.

Examinations are aimed to increase refinement, whilst building a strong technical foundation, and encouraging expression and creativity in a disciplined manner. Students will receive a Certificate and mark breakdown at the end of their examination, which is examined by Industry leaders and organisation executives.​

LDA encourages students to participate in exams as they prompt concentration and effort, improve technique, and gives students a sense of achievement in the focus of working towards a goal.

Competition classes are generally via invitation for troupes or through the participation in private tuition.

Participation in Eisteddfods/Competitions in a troupe or as a Soloist helps students to gain valuable stage experience and self-confidence and independence.

Being a part of a Dance Troupe helps to improve student skill levels dramatically and develop a deep team spirit, whilst being taught up-to-date and competitive choreography. Troupe members are expected to commit to weekly rehearsals (sometimes more when closer to competitions) and be available to participate Eisteddfods at request of the teachers.
